Members of the Tree of Life Congregation prepare the noon meal for the Morgantown Soup Kitchen on the 5th Saturday of the month, which usually occurs about 4 times a year.
The Soup Kitchen is at the Trinity Episcopal Church (the one with the big, red doors) at the top of High and Willey Streets. Volunteers should arrive at the church by 9:45 and can expect to leave around 12:15.
Susan Brown is the coordinator of this project. She plans the meal and buys the food for that meal. Volunteers are needed to help prepare and serve the meal. Usually, approximately 40-60 people are served on these Saturdays. Volunteers are very much appreciated!
Members prepare to serve the food at the soup kitchen.
On January 30th, Tree of Life congregants braved snow, ice, basketball traffic and downtown gridlock to honor our commitment to help at the soup kitchen.
